I Thought i should quickly post this up. Launching Thunderbird today, there was the usual addon update and such. a Lightening update was found and installed along with provider for google calendar. As it came up i realised immediately that there was a change in the interface.

There is a new today pane, which i think is placed at a better place… users of these plug-ins will probably know what i mean.

If you don’t and you use thunderbird, Lightening adds calendaring and scheduling functionality to thunderbird. And provider adds a two way sync between your thunderbird calendar and a google calendar if you have one.
